Where it all started

Ebrik began as a personal challenge, not a business idea. While waiting months for her off-plan flat, Ana struggled to get updates, restricted from visiting the site and constantly chasing builders for information amid her busy London life. The experience led her to ask: Could developers communicate better with residents?

A residents first approach

Curious if others felt the same, Ana dropped postcards in her neighbours’ mailboxes asking about their experiences. She received 58 handwritten replies echoing her frustrations: delays, lack of access, and constant anxiety. A follow-up digital survey confirmed it: buyers felt disconnected and uninformed, with 96% wanting more visibility and regular updates.

From property updates to community engagement

Ebrik soon uncovered deeper issues in large regeneration projects including delays, disruption, and poor communication. Partnering with our first client, Clarion Housing, we co-developed the platform for social housing residents. ebrik has since evolved from simply property updates to a transparent, community-driven tool that helps housing associations build trust and keep residents informed every step of the way.
